The first week

Here I am - living in Costa Blanca, Spain. How cool is this? Well, I can tell that it's not cool, it's just super HOT! I'm in love with this cute, little town and dazzled of it's atmosphere and rhythm. Coming from a country, where the culture is totally different, I feel like I have arrived in to some exotic place that just goes beyond my imagination. I knew beforehand that this town is not full of foreign tourists and it has been able to preserve 'true Spain', however it still surprised me with it's authenticity. What more can I say than I'm not regretting at all my choice to come to work as an intern in Spain. This is exactly what I wanted - new culture, new people and good internship :).

6 days of work already behind me and as far as I can tell, the company seems to be a really nice place to work. They give us interns a lot to do so that working from 9am until 5.30pm doesn't feel so long. The days go by quickly and in the evening you feel exhausted, but in a good way. I've already done for example this month's news letter to our clients, so I've got my hands dirty right from the beginning! That's the way I like it.

As I mentioned before, the weather in here is so hot. Temperatures vary from +25 degrees to +30 during the day and the thermometer won't go lover than +18 degrees during the night. For me this is the hardest part to get used to, since in Finland we surely don't have this warm already in June (maybe in July/August). Not to forgetting that we're only in June, so the 'worst' is yet to come. Sweet!

Even though this place is simply awesome, I've had certain times when I've missed my friends and family back in Finland. We have a lot in common with my roommate and the other co-workers are nice as well, yet I miss my best friends. Luckily three of them will visit me in August and my family in September, so I don't have to miss them for too long :). I have already so much to show them!

Now it's time for a good night sleep, so that I can fulfill my tomorrow's agenda - sunbathing! Roger that.
